Creating a user account

How do I create a user account?

  1. Click ‘Sign up’.

  2. Enter your email address and click ‘Continue’.

  3. You will then be sent an email asking you to click on ‘Activate now’. You may need to check your spam folder.

  4. Provide your name, nationality and telephone number. It is important that your name is entered exactly as it states on your passport for you to be able to use the certificate from as your EU Digital COVID Certificate.

  5. Read and accept the Privacy Policy.

  6. Click ‘Save and continue’.

  7. Logging in to requires a code from your phone or an authenticator app. Therefore, you must select an additional layer of security:

    • To use SMS: Click ‘Enable’ and you will be sent a 6-digit code.

    • To use an authenticator app: Click "Enable" - read more here

  8. You must choose a password that you can remember.

  9. You can now log in with your email, password and the 6-digit code from your phone or the authenticator app.

I have not received an activation email

Make sure you have done the following:

  • Click ‘Sign up’, enter your email and click ‘Continue’. You will now be sent an activation email.

  • Check your spam folder.

If you still have not received an activation email, contact - here

If you urgently need to use, we recommend that you create a new user account with a different email address.

I have not received an SMS when creating a user account

If you do not have a Danish telephone number, make sure you have activated international roaming on your phone to receive the SMS.

If you still do not receive an SMS, change your choice of additional security to authenticator app.

  1. Tap on ‘Multi Factor Authentication’

  2. Tap on ‘Disable’ next to ‘SMS’

  3. Tap on ‘Enable’ next to ‘Authenticator app

We recommend Google Authenticator or another authenticator app that generates a 6-digit code.

When setting up the authenticator app, you should:

  •        Scan the QR code with the authenticator app.

  •        Enter the stated ‘Shared Key Code’ in the authenticator app.

The authenticator app will now display a 6-digit code which you must enter to log in. Please note that depending on which authenticator app you use, this 6-digit code will change after a period of time.

On, you should:

  1.      Enter the 6-digit code from the authenticator app.

  2.      Click ‘Enable’.

  3.      Choose a password that you can remember.

Why do I need an email adress to use

You need to have an email address to receive an activation link to authenticate yourself as a user. It also allows you to reset your password if you forget it.

Can I use the same email adress for several users?

No, one email address can only be used for one user. If you have a child who needs documentation for a test result, create an account for the child with a different email address from your account.

I get an "Email already exists" message then I try to register as a user

A user account has already been created for this email address. From the homepage, you need to:

  1. enter your email address

  2. click ‘Log in’

  3. enter your password

  4. enter the 6-digit code from your phone or authenticator app.
